Stone Bridge wines are produced solely from grapes grown in our 12 ha family owned vineyard situated along the north facing slopes of the Taruheru River, just 10km from Gisborne's city centre, the cellar door is open for wine tasting and sales:

BYO Picnic welcome

The vineyard is managed by owner/viticulturist, David Hart.
Plantings include Chardonnay, Gewürztraminer, Merlot, Pinot Gris and Viognier. Together with winemaker, James Hillard, we aim to produce wine that enhances the natural, fruit driven flavours in the grapes.
The heart shaped celtic crest is a reflection of our family name (Hart) and also our Irish ancestry; David 's wife Mairéad (nee Dillon) is a native of Limerick City, Ireland. Mairéad's role involves administration and marketing as well as conducting wine tastings.
corner of the vineyard is an old unused stone raliway bridge. This
inspired the name "Stone Bridge" for the wine label. The
first wines were madein 2005.
